State Senator Steve Rauschenberger says he plans to introduce a resolution in the state Senate this week, calling on trendy retailer Abercrombie and Fitch to stop selling a line of racy t-shirts.
The Republican, who is a GOP candidate for governor, says the $24.50 t-shirts are "offensive" and "degrading." He says if the Senate resolution doesn't stop Abercrombie from selling its shirts - he'll lead a boycott of the stores.
The 49-year-old state Senator says he doesn't pretend to be the bellwether of what's cool but he believes the t-shirts disrespect women.
Some teenage girls across the country also are calling for a boycott of Abercrombie. The women and girls say the shirts are degrading, but Abercrombie says plenty of women are buying them.

"A bunch of teenage girls are being interviewed by national media about what they think. Although state Rep. David Graves was charged with drunken driving for a second time, he says his position as lawmaker means he cannot break the law while the Legislature is at work.
Graves, a Republican from Macon, Ga., is citing a centuries-old provision in the state constitution to argue that he should not be prosecuted for a DUI he received in Cobb County in February. The arrest was made during Georgia's 2005 session of the General Assembly.
Cobb State Court Judge Irma B. Glover was expected to issue a ruling Tuesday on Graves' "legislative immunity" defense. His trial also was expected to begin Tuesday.
The provision, which dates back to 1789 and was written to protect lawmakers from political intimidation, holds that a lawmaker cannot be arrested during sessions of the General Assembly, legislative committee meetings or while they are in transit. It does allow arrests for "treason, felony, or breach of the peace."

Christian Koch, an inventor and patent holder of the "KDV 500" that he said produces high quality fuel, said he can transform waste products such as paper, rubbish and plastic materials into fuel.
But Koch, 55, said there was no truth to stories published in Bild newspaper on Tuesday and Wednesday that suggested he used dead cats as part of the mix for his organic diesel fuel.
"I use paper, plastics, textiles and rubbish," Koch told Reuters.
"It's an alternative fuel that is friendly for the environment. But it's complete nonsense to suggest dead cats. I've never used cats and would never think of that. At most the odd toad may have jumped in."
Bild on Tuesday wrote a headline: "German inventor can turn cats into fuel -- for a tank he needs 20 cats." The paper on Wednesday followed up with a story entitled: "Can you really make fuel out of cats?"
A spokesman for Bild told Reuters the story was meant to show that cat remains could "in theory" be used to make fuel with Koch's patented method.
The author of the story said Koch had never told him directly that he had used dead cats as the story implied.
The Web site of Koch's firm, "Alphakat GmbH", says his patented "KDV 500" machine can produce what he calls the "bio-diesel" fuel at about 23 euro cents (30 cents) a liter, which is about one-fifth the price at petrol stations now.
"I drive my normal diesel-powered car with this mixture," Koch is quoted saying in Bild, next to a large picture of a kitten. "I have gone 170,000 km (106,000 miles) without a problem."

Why is it socially acceptable for someone to say to my face” you’re to skinny, you need to eat more” but I can’t say “ you’re to fat, lay off the Twinkies” ;and another thing, why do fat people get to have handicap spaces, if they need to loose weight and I need to gain weight, make them park at the far end of the lot and walk off some of that fat and give me the handicap space so that I don’t have to walk as much and gain a little weight. With all this talk about sex offenders and what to do with them, I have a simple solution; CASTRATION, yes I know it’s harse but so is the crime. If you molest a child or rape someone then you have made a violent and tragic decision, so you should be dealt with in the same manner. I know that there are people that are accused or convicted of this crime that do not deserve this type of absolute justice; a 19 year old guy dating a 17 year old girl and her dad gets mad and charges him with statutory rape, this guy does not need to be dealt with in such an extreme way, but the more severe, more heinous of the two should have two options; Death or Castration

Smoking\Noise

Here in my state, they passed a law that there will be no smoking in any public place were minors\children will be. I can not go to my favorite restaurant and have a drink after work and have a smoke, but I can go to this place and have my calming time interrupted by some small child screaming or a toddler running around playing. An adult goes to an ADULT environment to be around adults, not screaming kids. My complaint is this, if smoking is pollution and harmful to others health, then it would make since that a child in an adult environment, is noise pollution and is harmful to others mental health.
